Arthole: An experimental exhibition at Mycelium Studios

In 2025, ArtHole was conceived as an artist-run project space within Mycelium Studios, dedicated to showcasing experimental, process-driven, and provocative works. True to its name, the space opened a “hole” in the everyday studio fabric — a place where artists could dig into raw ideas, test boundaries, and invite audiences into the messiness of making.

As part of Mycelium’s broader creative ecology, ArtHole provided a platform for resident artists and designers to share their workspaces, processes, and finished pieces with the public. This unique behind-the-scenes access not only showcased their practices, but also deepened connections between makers and audiences.

ArtHole became a site of risk-taking and dialogue, where emerging and established artists could collide, cross-pollinate, and reimagine their practices outside conventional gallery structures.
